This is probably one of the best salons out there. It’s a hidden gem I discovered. Micheal is great stylist and barber. He is friendly, takes his time and gives advice. I highly recommend Poiz Beauty Salon.

Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I felt at home and walked out with my hair feeling and looking amazing like never before. I’m thankful to Laiz and her assistant for all the help and care. Both the treatment and curly cut were great, and the hair care tips super helpful. The products are top quality and the salon has the best vibe.

I had an amazing experience here! I am a guy with curly hair, between an 2 and 3A, so I’ve had A LOT of bad haircuts. This is the best cut I’ve had in YEARS! Even when I ask for a diva cut, stylists always give me a generic men’s cut when I go short, so I never do. NOT Sandra! Even though I went with a shorter length (and had worn a hat all day), she took her time to cut my curls individually and made sure they all came through. I almost always walk out of the salon disappointed and put off getting a trim for as long as possible but today I am already looking forward to seeing her again!

Getting my lashes done with Katie is always a treat! She is extremely professional even when I fall asleep and starts snoring away!! Her work is excellent and my lashes don’t feel heavy. She creates a very relaxed atmosphere and is just the best lash professional in Long Island City!! I will recommend her to anyone in the neighborhood!!

Had an amazing experience with Ebony. She welcomed me at the entrance. We had little banter then she allows me to use the bathroom. When I came back to the room, the wax bed was prepared. She gave me clear instructions then began her magic. She’s thoughtful, non-judgmental, professional, and down-to-earth. Her skill set is exceptional. If you choose Ebony Star Stylez Beauty & Skincare for waxing services you will be well pleased and leave feeling like it was not a big deal - she makes the experience that comfortable and bearable.

I got my eyelashes done for the first time today by Katie. Before my appointment she texted me directions and pictures of the building. I explained to her what look I was going for and she did an amazing job! She was so nice and gave me a little care package at the end of my appointment. If you are in the New York/ Long Island City area I definitely recommend her!

I had such a fantastic experience at this salon! It’s conveniently located near Bryant Park and just a short walk from Times Square, which makes it perfect whether you’re a local or just visiting the city. I cannot say enough amazing things about this salon!! From the second you walk in you’re treated like family and made to feel so comfortable. I got my hair cut and colored by Ena and she was AMAZING!! She was so kind and thoughtful when doing my hair checking in with me along the way making sure I was good! I wasn’t totally sure the color I wanted and Ena worked with me to find the PERFECT natural look while still making sure It was noticeable! Silvana also helped with coloring and washing my hair, she was so kind and comforting along the way! Amazing experience I can’t wait to go back!
