Are there any side effects or risks associated with hair transplant surgery?

Yes, you’re likely to have scarring in the area(s) your graft(s) were taken. Your scalp may become sore and swell a few days after your transplant, and you’ll probably experience some scabbing. There’s also risk of bleeding, infection, and an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic.

What should I expect during a hair treatment appointment?

What your hair stylist does during a treatment will be dictated by the treatment you choose. Your treatment may be carried out on washed, unwashed, wet, or dry hair. Ask your stylist before you book your appointment what’s involved in the process and how long it’s likely to take. Applying a detox treatment takes a matter of minutes, hair toning can take between 5-20 minutes, hot oil and moisturising treatments take around 20 minutes, glossing is likely to take between 30 and 40 minutes, and you’ll need to allow 1-2 hours if you’re having your hair relaxed, and 1-3 hours if you’re booked in for a keratin treatment.

What's the difference between a hair treatment and a hair mask?

A professional hair treatment uses high-performance, salon-grade formulas that penetrate the hair structure more deeply than a standard mask. They may also involve heat processing or bonding chemistry that at-home masks don't replicate.

What are professional hair treatments?

Professional hair treatments are in-salon services designed to restore, strengthen, and nourish the hair. Common treatments include keratin treatments, bond repair (such as Olaplex), protein treatments, deep conditioning, scalp treatments, and glossing services.

How does the hair transplant procedure work?
