The actual best colourists in the UK. Fabulous amazing people with amazing work. I have travelled across the country to go here and it was worth every minute of travel. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun environment and an amazing artistic vision that can bring the best out of every hair that comes through their door.

Molly is fantastic! I’m so glad that I found her. She takes the time to understand what you are hoping to achieve, explains the process and really understands hair and how colours work together. I wouldn’t go to anyone else! This was my first experience of Riff Raff and meeting Rhys, I absolutely loved it! Rhys was really friendly, knowledgeable about the kind punky/ alternative style I have + ones I would like to have or work towards. He checked everything with me, and talked through what he was doing and why, which I appreciated as well. I left the salon with a punky style I'm really pleased with, as well as feeling inspired for future styles as well as colours. Having such a vegan friendly, cruelty free, LGBTQ+ friendly, and kind space in Newport is amazing. Already looking forward to heading back 😊

For the last 5 years I have had difficulty in finding a salon that has expertise in Afro Caribbean curly hair. Harrison Rabbit salon in Newport were amazing. Molly was reassuring and explained what she was doing, plus gave me advice on handling my hair and products available. My hair looked stunning when I left the salon and now have the option of wearing it down in a straight or curly style. Will be returning and taking my daughter with me. Molly my new style has given me back some of my confidence . Thank you so much. X

I’ve finally found a hairdressers I want to come back to. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the tea and sweets provided were amazing and the salon had such a cosy and safe atmosphere. 100% recommend. Went in for a wolf cut and came out with one even better than the refernce photo, I couldn’t believe it was actually my hair! Thanks again 😚

Fabulous cut and colour with Rhys today! Love the new salon which he and Sophie have created...so inclusive for everyone, especially those of us who are neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA+ / gender expansive. Just a lovely, beautiful place to be, run by two fantastic stylists & colourised!
