Jill is a magician!! The New York winter and water had killed my curls, but Jill brought them back to life. So very professional and taught me about my hair and styling, while also keeping my preferences top of mind. The space is clean and modern, and the Self team were so wonderful.

It was my first visit and it was lovely. I love my hair, I love the staff, I love my stylist (Lauren), I love the way the products smell, I love the way everything looks inside, I love their organization and the way they handle business. If I wasn't moving next month, this would be my permanent salon, but unfortunately I'm leaving New York. :(

Bianca took the time to really learn about my hair and what I wanted and absolutely slayed my cut and style! My hair feels so much fresher, healthier, and chic now. I’m usually so reluctant with getting my hair trimmed, but I’m obsessed with this look. The salon is also super clean and modern with friendly staff and great facilities all around. I’ll definitely be rebooking at Self in the future — so thrilled to have a spot in Bushwick like this!

It was incredible! I booked a last minute appointment with Sabrina, to get a partial highlight. She went above and beyond. It ended up looking great very natural and healthy. The whole team was so welcoming. We had such a nice conversation and I really felt at home there. Highly recommend!

I lurve H2 Salon! Their consultations are very thorough and professional to put my anxious mind at ease. They are realistic about what’s possible and how you can level up. The music is good. The clientele is chill. They take care of my hair and I always leave feeling and looking my best. Lorraine was professional, punctual, and really did her best work on my highlights. It was my first time getting any color, let alone blonde. I have been natural for 5 years and have meticulously kept my hair healthy so I was a bit nervous at first but Lorraine and her team explained the process, were gentle, and gave easy-to-follow maintenance tips. Last minute before a trip, I realized how bad of a hair color touchup I was in need of and my usual place was unavailable, so I decided to swing by the studio to see if there was any chance there for highlights. Dori was super nice and was willing to accommodate me last minute, even staying late since that was the only time I was available too, and she did an absolutely fantastic job! I was very impressed and even my family immediately commented on how beautiful my hair came out. Definitely recommend Dori for your hair needs!
