I came to Suzu after spending a month hiking in rural Alaska and my hair was headed in a bad direction. Suzu immediately understood what I needed, where we needed to remove length, and rescued me. Best haircut ever, I’m so sad that I’m only visiting in Honolulu. I would highly recommend Suzu to everyone!!

Yuki is an expert in his craft. I’ve never had a haircut and shave that left me so incredibly relaxed. His meticulous attention to detail is what keeps me coming back. Unfortunately I am not a native of Hawaii, but I will be sure to come back to this salon on my next trip. Best haircut and straight shave in Honolulu by far.

You will not be disappointed. This is probably the best place in the city to get a haircut. I have lived in Honolulu for a long time and I have been going to SKY for over a year. TAYLOR is a magician. No rush, great style, trust her with your head!

Stylists and staff were very nice. Went in for color. Stylist worked with my thick curly hair and it turned out great. Color was just what I wanted to remove my old highlights. Would go again! 🤙🏾

Jonie was so nice and very gentle with my hair. I got a combination of the magic straight and collagen smoothing to help keep hair manageable. They were careful to only put the collagen treatment on my dyed sections. They explained what they were doing and why. Would recommend and come again

After years of trying to find a reliable barber who balances affordability and quality, I returned to Sku Grooming and booked with Suzu Hoshi—and I’m so glad I did. With a big event coming up, I was nervous, but Suzu delivered beyond expectations. Despite a slight language barrier, she listened carefully, looked at photos I showed her, and gave me the exact haircut and natural color I wanted. She was warm, professional, and made me feel truly cared for. I left feeling confident and refreshed—something that’s hard to come by these days. Highly recommend.

I needed roots colored and my haircut for an upcoming trip this week. I made a same day appointment online and it couldn’t have been easier! Jonie was my stylist and she is wonderful! Having self colored for a long time, I had multiple colors running through my roots (along with the gray)! Jonie blended color that when put on my roots, brought everything together and it looks great! I have long curly hair and Jonie definitely brought my curls back to life without sacrificing the length. I am so happy to have found Jonie and Salon Ava! I highly recommend both! Thank you Jonie!
