I just had my first visit to this salon. Paula was fabulous. I was looking for a change and a smaller salon experience. This was great very cozy feeling and quiet vibes. They are also echo friendly and use plant based products where they can. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my hair and let Paula use her expertise and it turned out beautiful!!! If you're looking to support a local business who is also echo-conscious this is your spot.

Krista has been cutting my hair for the past year and I adore her work and the calm comfortable environment of Common Place, so whe our AuDHD teenager, who struggles with sensory challenges during haircuts, expressed that he wanted a new haircut, I booked him to see Krista. Not surprising, Krista was so considerate and careful while cutting his hair. She made sure to front load when she was using different tools and techniques and checked in with him to make sure he was comfortable. He left feeling great and actually loving his hairtcut for the very first time. Thank you, Krista!

Paula is so so good at what she does. I was unsure how to handle my roots and what colour I wanted my hair. Paula gave me options as well as advice and I have never been happier with my colour or my cut. She is amazing.

I highly recommend Jay’s hair services! I found Jay to be very experienced and thoughtful in making a plan for my greying, fine, thin, damaged hair. I’m completely happy with the all over color we decided on together and the fun highlight he suggested to add a bit of interest. He uses a high quality, low toxicity coloring product that I appreciate and suggested ways on which to make return visits a little more budget friendly now that I have a good base color. I’ll be a return customer for sure.
