Antonella rescued my hair from a previous cut elsewhere, and gave me the results I'd always hoped for. She explained everything really clearly and simply, and demonstrated everything for me. I went in nervous, and came out relieved. She is also really friendly. My new favourite hairdresser in Cairns.

Love the layered haircut I got for my long hair! Very professional service from the wash to the blow dry. I have tried so many other places in cairns but they just wouldn’t/afraid to cut the disconnected layer in my hair!! Francesco is very skilled and cut my dream hair! So much more volume, movement and easier for me to style a 90s blowout. Francesco Thank you! I strongly recommend this salon.

Had my cut done by Clancy. Told him I wanted to change the style of my hair - to grow it out. He explained each step to the cut, great insight to the style I want to achieve. Overall top customer service and if I’m back in Cairns anytime soon I’ll be sure to book back in with him. 👊🏻

I’ve been going to Addie since I moved to Cairns 2 years ago. She is incredibly skilled at figuring out what works for you and what you want as well as delightful to spend time with. She has helped me find a style that I can keep with little effort and has been tweaking my colour to fit the colours I like with my job requirements. Not always a straightforward job.

Marie is an amazing colourist with a wealth of experience, and passion to make your hair shine. After 30 years of having foils I’ve had ALL the experiences (blondes you know what I’m saying) and Marie is the best I’ve come across. Her blonde is fresh, bright, natural, and all without a trace of damage to my aging treated hair. I hesitate to let the secret out, but she is honestly one of Cairns very best colourists. I feel safe and comfortable with my blonde in her hands, you can trust her professionalism and experience to give you the most gorgeous blonde without any of the stress or damage.

I went in for a wash and blow dry, I had Tiana look after me and she was sensational. Tiana is very warm and very good at what she does! The salon itself was minimalist chic, I’d definitely go back if I lived in Cairns! Thank you!

Hello, I'm a mature lady who lives in Tropical North Queensland. Walking around Cairns I observed how shabby and shaggy the average person's lanky, long hair looked. Then horror of all horrors I saw a reflection of myself in a shop window. I was also one of the "shaggiest"! This lead to much researching of the total 40 odd hairdressers in Cairns. I needed an updated style that would show my femininity. I found Lexie at Vault Ninety One. If I moved to Timbuctoo I'd travel back to this truly talented stylist who has made my hair and my life brighter.

I am absolutely thrilled to find DJ. After a botched haircut 2 weeks ago l got to the stage that l could not put up with my hair 1 more day. After reading 4 hours of reviews l crossed my fingers and decided to make an appointment with DJ at Suede. It was 1am in the morning when l went to make an appointment. I couldn't believe it when he had an appointment for 4pm that day. It was meant to be. DJ is certainly a professional and knows his stuff. I have now found my new hairdresser in Cairns. I would highly recommend DJ 👌

Loved my experience. Francesco went above and beyond for my wash and blow dry. My drink order was automatically requested by the Fresha app. I will come back when I visit Cairns again and ask for their signature cocktail, which sounded delicious and refreshing!

Absolutely loved my experience at Suede Hair in Cairns! I got a fresh cut and they did an amazing job refreshing my blonde hair after it had gone a little yellow from the sun & swimming during my holiday. The colour looks bright and healthy again. On top of that, I got to hold the most adorable, well-behaved dog while they cut my hair — honestly the best bonus ever 🐶💛 Everything was perfect from start to finish. Friendly, professional, and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Having recently relocated to Cairns I was looking for a new hairdresser and hit the jackpot with Jack. Right from the start he was a great communicator, genuine and I felt like the haircut was very collaborative - it turned out great. Thanks Jack! By the way the fringe looks great when I put my hair up in a pony tail. Thanks for the suggestion.

Wonderful and Friendly I have been looking for a Salon in Cairns for 12 months and had no success. Then I was lucky enough to find this gem! The team at Cuts by Carella are professional and down to earth. They have extensive experience having worked in larger metropolitan cities. I was so happy with my haircut and blow dry. The whole experience was fabulous. Thank you to the team for the friendly atmosphere and the dedication shown to clients!! Best in Cairns !!!

Availability and booking was really easy online and I was so happy to find somewhere open on a Sunday as I was visiting Cairns for the weekend! My service (blow wave) felt rushed as the stylist was under the pump and I had a bit of a headache by the end. However It was lovely to be served a mimosa on arrival and the staff (Jeff and Francesco) were both really friendly and I will definitely be back if I’m visiting again.

I love the space and surroundings and the sustainability ethos of Suede. Also very reasonably priced in comparison to other salons I have tried in Cairns.
