I had the MOST fantastic curly hair appointment today with the absolute gem that is Siobhan Duggan at Cuttlefish Eco Salon in Lewes. From one curly girl to another, Siobhan gets it — the wild days, the good curl days, and the “my hair has a mind of its own” days. The advice, tips, and real-life curl wisdom were amazing. I felt seen, understood, and empowered to actually love and work with my natural curls. My curls are now bouncing, behaving and living their absolute best life. I had my hair done by Demi today, she was so professional. I enjoyed my time with her, she was so friendly, bubbly and got to know her. She did a wash blow dry, and curls on my hair it was so soft and pretty I loved it!

I’ve been going to Cuttlefish in Lewes for quite a few years now and never have to rush home disappointed - always leave feeling relaxed and contented with better curly hair, styled in a relaxed way…The staff are invariably kind and considerate (ie well-trained), the drinks great, the visuals interesting (in a good way) and the head massages super. It’s a treat all round. My stylist loves her job and says she feels like a sculptor every day. Hairdressing is underrated as an art. Carry on Cuttlefish 🙏🙏🙏

I’ve had my hair cut with Tom at the Brighton cuttlefish for many years. Sadly Tom has moved to pastures new so I nervously went to the Lewes salon for a change and to see James. He did a smashing job with my ‘ladies mullet’. Loving it. Thank you James. I’ll be back in December. Thank you for the Disco recommendation too. Happy customer.

A lovely haircut and experience at the Cuttlefish in Lewes. Adam was experienced, sociable and a delight. I'm very pleased with the cut. Eva also did a great head massage. Siobhan cut my hair last time and I was very pleased too. A great Salon and would highly recommend them.

It is always a delightful experience going to Cuttlefish Lewes. Adam totally gets my hair and cuts it to suit me. The reception staff are very friendly and always attentive when coming in offering a choice of tea/coffee. I love the atmosphere the salon has.

I absolutely love going to Cuttlefish in Lewes. Everyone is really friendly and I always come out with an amazing haircut, and I always receive lots of compliments! James, my stylist, is really talented and gives useful advice on how to keep the hair in top condition. I would highly recommend!

Excellent! Pearl is a lovely, talented stylist especially for curly hair. All the Cuttlefish staff are kind and helpful - good head massage, chilled atmosphere, nice coffee and interesting art etc. Seriously recommend.

After years of disappointing hairdresser experiences, I’m so pleased to find Cuttlefish, and the first stylist who has truly listened and understood my curls. The salon is quirky and unlike the sparkly or clinical looking chain salons, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Steve is a great stylist and a really nice person. He’s also an excellent interior designer and the Lewes Cuttlefish salon is looking fabulous after a major makeover between Xmas and New Year. We had such interesting chats at my appointment yesterday and I’m so pleased with my new style for 2025. Steve does a great dry cut of curly hair and I then have a relaxing wash, head massage and final blow dry for curls. It’s a treat and worth it long term too…Til the next time, in mid-March. Thanks a million Steve. HNY!

I saw a lady in the M&S car park who had an amazing curly bob and I thought sod it, I'm going to ask her where she gets her hair cut! I'm so glad I did, as she couldn't recommend Pearl from Cuttlefish in Lewes highly enough. As a first time curly customer you are given 90 minutes, so plenty of time for a chat, looking at photos of hairstyles and getting to know what you would like and more importantly what you wouldn't like. Pearl was so kind and it was wonderful not to be rushed. I experienced the perfect appointment, looking forward to my next visit in 6 months. Thank you Pearl xx
