Michael is absolutely amazing! After losing my beloved stylist of 20 years—who set an incredibly high bar—I spent a long time searching for someone who could truly deliver. I tried several stylists in Charlotte, but it was always a compromise: some could handle color but not cuts, and vice versa. Then I found Michael. He’s meticulous with both cut and color, and he’s completely earned my trust. For the first time in a long time, I genuinely love my hair again. On top of his talent, he’s a total delight—fun, kind, and easy to talk to. I can’t recommend him enough!

This was the best haircut experience I’ve had in my entire life. I recently moved to Charlotte and was worried about trying somewhere new but holy cow now I’m scared to leave because I want to have Courtney cut my hair forever! So knowledgeable, kind and talented. I’m in love with my cut and she knew exactly what I wanted and what would compliment my face shape.

Courtney is a fantastic stylist. While she is young, she is NOT inexperienced. She hails from one of the top salons in Charlotte, and has honed her skills there and at Fern & Ivy. She takes care to have plenty of conversation up front. She wants to be sure you come away with something you love!

Jessica was amazing! One of the best hair experiences I've had. This was my first time getting my hair done in Charlotte after living here for two years because we all know how hard it is to find your right hair person. She took time to understand what I wanted and was fully transparent about prices. 5 stars across the board!!

I had to switch stylists recently after my last one in Charlotte retired to stay at home with her babies. I came across Fern & Ivy while at lunch one day and decided to give it a try, and boy am I glad I did, because I found my new stylist! Aubrey is amazing at what she does, a true master of her craft. I gave her very little guidance about what what I was going for on the color side for this fall and she completely slayed the color and cut. The salon has great ambiance and the stylists are knowledgeable, would highly to friends looking for a new spot.
