I loved my haircut and blowdry - I literally showed Philomena a picture of what I wanted and she gave me exactly that and I am fussy!! I also got some gorgeous products from her as they made my hair feel and look so nice - also the most affordable hairdresser I have ever been to!! Thank you and I will be back!

Always a pleasure visiting Philmak Hair. The ladies are soo professional and I always leave so happy. Nadia is such a lovely lady and amazing braider. So gentle and polite. This is the only salon for African hair/braid in Middlesbrough that i have had the best experience with. I definitely recommend. Will be coming back soon. Thank you ladies

Philomena was amazing with my daughter today on her first ever haircut, she was friendly, welcoming and patient, she gave me such helpful advice on how to care for my daughter's curls and we bought some products to as they were such reasonable priced, was a lovely experience and will definitely be back again.

My experience at Phil Mak Salon was wonderful, Philomena knew how to do my hair very well, she is an excellent hairdresser who knows what she is doing, l got a blow dry, trim and braids using my own hair, she did a fantastic job, and the atmosphere in the Salon was great, they are nice people as well as excellent hairdressers

Incredible salon with fantastic people doing great work. This was my first ever retwist after having free form locs for 10 years, Kiki looked after me good! Trimmed my locs to a manageable length for my lifestyle and got me looking fresh with a retwist. I’m surprised it took me this long to find someone who works with dreadlocks in the Teesside area! If I’m looking for a style I’ll be here again in a heart beat. Philomena has a lovely salon and great atmosphere, she even popped in for a chat and to let me know I can use the iPad to watch my series while I get styled. I highly recommend!

I was looking for a good barber for a few years and I’ve finally found the best one. I had a great experience. The shop was tidy, everything was hygienic and clean and last but not least Amy is a wonderful barber. She has a good artistic taste, very professional and with great attitude.

Ben gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had !! He knew exactly how to cut my hair (which is very curly) and how to shape it properly. Precise and fast haircut, brilliant service, would definitely recommend !!

Moved to Middlesbrough last year and fortunately found a great barber, Danny is class. Great haircuts, chat, and very good value for the quality you receive. You need to look no further than Skins & Needles if you're after a new barber shop in the area.

Best place to go for a haircut in middlesbrough, booked in for the weekend ready package with Laura, brilliant laugh and about as relaxing as it gets, nearly fell asleep at one point under the warm towel and the cherry on top of the cake, there was a cold beer waiting for me after the towel was lifted . You can tell she really loves what she does and it’s very very good at it, left looking like a new man... definitely won’t be going anywhere else from now on.

Danny absolutely smashed it. First cut back after a 2 week break and he knocked it out the park. Get tour hair cut by this lad, he wont let you down!

Been gping to Laura for my haircut for over a year now. I'd highly recommend her to anyone. Skins & Needles Barbers is the best barber around. Very friendly atmosphere, funny banter and very welcoming. I'd give Laura and the team more than 5* if possible Thank you, Laura and team

Got a skin fade by Laura, really good job as per usual and everyone was just having a laugh. All the staff are nice and so is Laura, everyone makes you feel comfortable and the haircuts are spot on. Got checked out by 15 chicks in the hour since I left the barbers.
