How often should you get threading done?

It depends on your hair’s regrowth rate: most people get their legs done every 4 weeks, and their eyebrows done every 2-4 weeks.

What is threading and how does it work?

Threading is a hair removal technique that’s mostly used to remove unwanted eyebrow hair. It is chemical free and sees your therapist use twisted strands of thread to pluck single hairs from the root.

Can threading be done on any part of your body?

No. Threading only works on flat areas, which rules bikini lines and knees out.

Can I thread my own eyebrows at home?

You can, but it takes practice to get it right, increases your risk of side effects, and could see you catch your own skin in the thread.

Is threading better than waxing?

It’s not for us to say, but many therapists prefer it because it allows them to be precise without damaging the skin. It also means there’s no danger of double-dipping wax between clients, and it can remove shorter hairs that wax can’t fully grip on to, meaning your eyebrows will stay beautifully shaped for longer.

How is threading different from other hair removal methods?

Unlike other hair removal methods, threading uses a single twisted strand of cotton to remove unwanted hair. Both threading and tweezing are chemical-free and work by targeting single hairs, but waxing and epilating can remove multiple hairs in one go. Threading, waxing, tweezing, and epilating all remove hair from the root, but it will regrow in 2-4 weeks. Laser hair removal is the only permanent hair removal method.
