Best Spray Tan near me in Lucan

A spray tan typically lasts 5-10 days depending on skin type, preparation, and aftercare. Exfoliating before the appointment, staying hydrated, and moisturising daily (avoiding oil-based products) maximises longevity. Avoid prolonged water exposure which accelerates fading.

To help maintain your glorious new glow, avoid swimming pools, saltwater, and having long hot baths and showers; you should also pat, rather than rub, wet skin dry. If possible, try to steer clear of all moisture for at least 4-5 hours post spray tan.

A spray tan will last up to a week; but the way you care for your skin and your tan can impact on the speed at which your spray tan fades.

Shower and exfoliate at least 48 hours before you’re due to have a spray tan. This will help prevent the patchiness and could help your tan last longer.

Spray tanning applies a fine mist of dihydroxyacetone (DHA) solution to the skin to create a temporary bronzed effect without UV exposure. The DHA reacts with amino acids in the outer skin layer to develop a natural-looking tan over 4-8 hours. It is the safest way to achieve a sun-kissed glow.

Many spray tanning ingredients are safe – including the DHA (a plant derived product which causes the dead cells on your top layer of skin to darken ) used, however there may be unknown risks attached to DHA. It’s advised that you keep your mouth closed and wear a nose plug to avoid ingesting and inhaling DHA during your spray tan.
