Alvin, not only is a great hairstylist, but he is extremely friendly, welcoming and overall goes in details about why he suggest something or why this would work for you. I have curly hair. But after today, I now know the extent of how curly it is and it was definitely much curlier than what I’ve grew up knowing. I will be coming back and a complete fan of his work.

Rock and Alvin took such good care of my hair with the scalp massage and root touch up combo, I loved every service I got and it’s incredible that you can get so many services here and they are all exceptional my facial was amazing along with my brow tint and shape and eye lash and tint!! They are so nice and really take the time get understand your skin and hair and typically do not enjoy beauty services this much- fantastic job and not to mention they fit me in on a holiday weekend and understand customer service 100% thank you both so much!!

I had a great experience with Alvin, I went in for a hair cut and he took such great care of me and made me feel very comfortable. He took care of my whole head lol not just my haircut, walked me through my scalp care, hair care and all the products necessary for both. I had the honor of having my first Skin & Glow Starter Facial done by Alvin of Skin and Scissors. It was such a wonderful experience as a newbie to facials. Alvin really took the time to explain the process to where I felt as ease the entire time (and yes I ask ALOT of questions normally but didn’t need to with him). My skin feels so hydrated and with a glow I’ve never had before. Thank you Alvin for helping give my skin a glow just in time for my show this weekend. As an added bonus, Alvin always keeps his snacks and drinks stock for his guests. Such a nice touch for my drive back home to SD.

Beyond what i imagined it to be! Alvin at Skin and Scissors Beauty Studio is amazing! He explained the difference between partial and full highlights in a way that actually made sense, and broke down what grey blending is supposed to look like (more natural, lived-in vs harsh lines). He asked a lot of questions to make sure he understood what I wanted and checked in along the way, which made me feel really comfortable. I never felt rushed or unsure. He clearly knows what he's doing. I trusted his suggestions, especially with blending my highlights into my existing grays, my hair looks amazing. I will be back, thank you again!
