The format of your full body massage will vary from salon to salon, but it will typically begin with you lying on your stomach so your therapist can work on your shoulders and back, all the way down to your legs and feet. You’ll be asked to turn over halfway through so that the massage can continue with you lying on your back. The massage will probably end at your neck or scalp. Techniques used will include effleurage, tapping, and kneading.

It’s really down to budget and personal preference, but you’re likely to feel the benefit if you book in for a full body massage once every 2-4 weeks.

Most full body massages last anything from 30-90 minutes depending on what you’ve booked. It’s best to ask how long your massage will take before you make your appointment.

You'll lie on a padded massage table covered by a sheet or towel, and your therapist will work through each area of the body in turn: typically starting with the back. Your therapist will check in on pressure preferences at the start of the session; don't hesitate to ask for adjustments at any point. Most clients undress to their comfort level; your modesty is maintained with draping at all times.
