Yes, although if you have high blood pressure or you are pregnant, it’s recommended that you avoid acupressure.

How long does an acupressure session take and what can I expect during the session?

45-90 minutes. You’ll need to explain to your acupressure practitioner what you’d like treated and, depending on the acupoints they’ll need to access, you’ll be asked to either sit or lie down on a massage table. Your practitioner will then start to apply firm, but gentle pressure to specific acupoints on your body, alleviating your symptoms in the process, re-establishing qi flow, and restoring your body’s balance.

Are there any potential side effects or risks associated with acupressure?

You may experience soreness, dizziness, and bruising after an acupressure session. It’s normally advised not to have acupressure if you are pregnant.
