I've been to Pio's now twice and I've loved both experiences. Kathy and Pio are so sweet and friendly and made me feel somehow right at home. My haircut and color highlighting are as good as any I've had anywhere and I've received many compliments for great job Zee has done for me. The salon doesn't seem to have been updated since its opening very many years ago but the individual stalls of the past give privacy and a better opportunity to relax and feel at ease. Their prices are very reasonable and it's comforting to know we customers don't have to pay for fancy cabinetry and decorations.

I love getting my hair done at the Hive. Dani always does a great job with cutting my (short, dude-styled) hair, and it grows out in a really flattering manner - for the past several months, as soon as I've started thinking "hm, I could use a haircut soon," I realized that I already had one scheduled for that week. On top of that, I've never ever felt uncomfortable at the salon, and I actively look forward to chatting at my visits - this says a lot, since I'm both hella socially awkward and also trans. I would (and frequently do!) recommend both the Hive and Dani specifically to anyone.

Dan is just an amazing stylist! He’s the only one who has ever figured out my “seasonal” hair - straight/wavy in the winter and curly/frizzy in the summer! Plus, he’s just an incredibly nice guy! Highly recommend!

Great location Amazing Stylists!!! I am a creature of habit and have gone to the same hairdresser for 20+ years. Unfortunately my stylist is no longer living in CT so for the past year, not only have I not gotten my hair cut but I've been looking for my "new spot" .....Found it! Valarie was so amazing. She is a master of her craft. From someone who is picky about who touches my hair.... I HIGHLY recommend The Hive...you will not be disappointed ♡♡♡

Always great, I cannot style my own hair and she kills it cause I'm not great with ideas either.

Very gentle, comfortable setting, fast within her craft. I’d recommend her to anyone looking to get there hair done

My son says that he loves the his haircut and that he's haircut is exactly what he wanted. I love this hair salon, the fact that we arrived late due to traffic and they waited for my son to close, it says that they care about their customers.

As always Cathy did a beautiful job coloring & cutting my hair. I don't ever recall being disappointed in the way my color came out or the cut. She is fabulous no matter how busy she is.

Kathy cuts my hair just as I have requested. She is pleasant and cheerful while working. I keep going back! No complaints whatsoever.

As always I was very happy w/ the way Cathy cut & colored my hair.

I am never disappointed how Kathy does my hair. Best stylist ever!
