Ja. Når du får en tatovering, bliver din hud gentagne gange gennemboret med en skarp nål dækket af blækpigment – det vil gøre ondt, men smerteniveauet, du oplever, afhænger af din smertetærskel.

Skal jeg forberede mig på nogen måde, før jeg får en tatovering?

Ja, hvis du kan. Prøv at undgå alkohol aftenen før, og drik masser af væske for at hjælpe din hud med at holde sig hydreret. Hvis du kan, så prøv at spise mindst 30 minutter før din aftale. Hvis du er i tvivl, skal du spørge din tatoveringstekniker til råds før din egentlige aftale.

Kan jeg få en tatovering, hvis jeg har følsom hud eller allergier?

Hvis du har følsom hud eller allergier, skal du kontakte din læge eller en erfaren hudlæge for at se, om det er sikkert for dig at få en tatovering. Personer med følsom hud er mere tilbøjelige til at opleve rødme og kløe, og personer med rosacea, psoriasis eller eksem har større risiko for at få en bivirkning. Du må ikke få en tatovering, hvis du er syg, eller dit immunsystem er svækket.

Hvordan tager jeg mig af en ny tatovering?

Efterbehandling varierer mellem tatoveringsstudier, så følg din tatovørs råd til punkt og prikke. Du har sandsynligvis brug for at dække din nye tatovering i de første 2-5 timer efter at have haft den, og vask den derefter omhyggeligt med mild sæbe og lunkent vand, før du påfører et tyndt lag af en uparfumeret fugtighedscreme på den. Du vil derefter enten lade din tatovering være udsat for fri luft, eller dække den med klæbende film eller gaze. Din tatovør vil anbefale et efterbehandlingsregime, men du skal sandsynligvis rengøre din tatovering 3-5 gange om dagen.
