What's the difference between gel and acrylic nails?

Acrylic nails are stronger than gels and start to cure as soon as they’re exposed to air; they generally last for 6-8 weeks but will need fills after 2 weeks to hide regrowth. Both can be used to lengthen nails and both can damage your natural nails.

How often should I get my gel nails redone?

Once every 2 weeks. Gel nails cure (harden) in UV light; this means they continue to cure in natural sunlight. The longer you keep your polish on, the longer it cures and the harder it is to remove. To reduce the risk of stripping and damaging your nails, it’s recommended that you book in with an experienced nail technician to remove and redo your gel nail polish every 2 weeks.
