Wictoria was great and I'm very happy with my nails. I think the actual salon needs a bit of an update, it felt well used and was certainly not as clean as it should be - the bottles of varnish etc all needed a good wipe down, there were marks all over the walls, stalls upside down on chairs, it all felt very flimsy and non-permanent. It would be nice to feel more luxurious.

Both my 11-year-old daughter and I had our hair done by Amelia. This was my daughter’s first time having her hair cut at the salon, and she enjoyed every minute of it. Amelia took care to make sure she understood exactly how my daughter wanted her hair to look. She had it washed, cut, and blow-dried, while I had my roots done. The whole experience was very relaxed and a lovely few hours of girlie time together.

My first visit to The Retreat…lovely salon. I usually see Andrew at Sequoia in Newbury, he always cuts my hair beautifully. Will be returning to the retreat as it’s a very calm environment. See you in December!!

I moved from Newbury to Oxford 3 years ago, but still come back to Newbury to have my hair done, as it’s the best Hair cut/blow dry by far. Well worth the drive. Ros

Joseph is the best hairstylist in Newbury! He’s been looking after my hair for 20 years. I absolutely wouldn’t go anywhere else. Beautiful, modern and relaxing environment at Sequoia.

Great first experience at Elcot Park Retreat and I really appreciated not feeling rushed. I left with a great hair cut which was just what I wanted hence the 5***** review. It’s a beautiful setting too so worth a ten minute drive from Newbury.

Simply the best Salon in Newbury!

Super but assistants are needed for blow drys at Elcot if you are offering colours otherwise the service is not as good as the Newbury salon. Twice now told there isn’t time or capacity for a blow dry which is disappointing.

My first visit to Elcott. I normally go to the Newbury Salon, but absolutely no surprise that the welcome was friendly and warm. a lovely quiet setting and environment. 5 stars all round xx
