Carmela was exactly what I was looking for. I moved to Jacksonville three years ago and have been looking for a hairdresser that knew what they were doing. Carmela exceeded my expectations. She corrected a bad hair color and gave me a stunning haircut. Already made another appointment.

This is the best salon in all of Jacksonville and St. Johns!

I always enjoy getting my hair colored and styled at The Hair & Color Specialists. Carmela is wonderful and it seems like the other customers there that get their hair done are happy with Tony and the other stylist, as well. It is a great atmosphere and they treat everyone with respect and like family.

Love the owners, Tony and Carmela, and their gracious stylist, Betty (Bella). Skip the glitzy glam shops and visit Hair and Color Specialists in their modest little shop for great services in a no-frills setting. Staff discontinued selling hair products in order to focus on providing quality services, although prducts once carried were top-notch and cruelty-free. Tony and Carmela have honed their skills over the decades by working with some of the top industry names, but could also probably teach Vidal a thing or two. Stop in to say "Hello!", then come back to have your hair done. 💇‍♀️👨‍

The Hair and Color Specialists has been my go-to salon since I moved to northern St. Johns County. Owners Tony and Carmella Colicchio have been in the business for many years and are down-to-earth and knowledgeable stylists. They discontinued carrying hair products, which can be a lucrative salon sideline, but focus instead on providing quality services honed from years of experience. Stylist Betty is also excellent, so clients can be assured of a great cut or color job whoever is wielding the scissors and color wand.

Every one here takes great care to make sure each client is totally satisfied and pleased with their haircut/ hair color.

Betty is such an artist! I stopped coloring my hair and she has been helping me transition. I don’t want ‘gray’ hair that’s dull so she highlights in just the right places. Then gives me a super cut! She always listens and continues to be a wonderful stylist! Even when I was doing a full color!
