Virtually or in-person, I will support you in your Matrescence. My main approach is a combination of things. I am very holistic in my approach, I draw from my wisdom deepened from my own births (to my now 17 and 19yo's) my postpartum and my Matrescence, my 25 years working as a registered nurse in emergency departments as well as my local community & my innate ability to be intuitive, ability to create a safe (emotionally, physically, culturally and spiritually et al) container for all those I support and my ability to use my listening & other communication skills to hold space for those women I support so they have the freedom to speak freely openly & without judgment. Narrative therapy is a big part of how I support women in a debrief, my skillset and approach also includes somatic work, bodywork & Breathwork so the processing is not just from/in the mind but the entire body and self, I also use my knowledge of nutrition, Ayurvedic health & an overall peaceful opening offering.

I offer closing the bones at any stage postpartum, physically it helps realign the pelvis and muscles, aids uterine contraction, and relieves tension. Emotionally it supports a deeply nurturing, safe space to process the birth story and release emotional stress. Energetically this closure symbolically closes the physical and energetic openness experienced during pregnancy and labour.

I will bring nourishing food using healing, gentle Ayurvedic recipes to fill your cup post birth, I can also switch up what I cook for you depending on your dietary preferences, allergies and needs. 
During my visit I will do some simple household work at your place like washing up, dishes away, vacuuming, washing folding and putting away clothes, tidying your home in a way that helps bring calm within you, lightening your mental load. I am adaptable (and a single mother) so postpartum Doula work can extend to walking the dog, collecting the grocery shopping, doing the grocery shopping, spending time with your other children if this isn’t your first birth/baby in the home whatever is causing your mental load to be heavy, I will lighten.

Includes at least one face to face meet up during pregnancy & some virtual meetings prior to birth, supporting, advocating and being present for you at any appointments you choose to attend for your pregnancy and health if you would like a mamma bear in your corner supporting you to remember your voice, your choice and your power. I can create/navigate a birth plan with you, work through birth preparation using bodywork, breathwork and mental health tools, I offer support navigating the system if you are choosing to birth in hospital and will support you completely if you choose to birth at home (and equally how to navigate a home birth), plus full access to all the birth tools in my Doula bag (including TENS machine, birth comb and birth sling etc). Being on call 24/7 between 37 weeks to 42 weeks of pregnancy for your birth window & being present at your birth. Can adapt to suit your journey.

Ayurvedic wisdom is ancient, with its beginnings thousands of years ago in India. Warmth and nourishing the mother is at its core when it comes to postpartum. This massage is absolute bliss, I begin with a foot soak in sweet flowers and herbs including rose, calendula, lavender and rosemary, then move through the ancient ritual of honouring the mother using Ayurvedic massage to her feet and lower legs using warming oils, finishing with a wrap and some aromatherapy.
