The Release Ritual Massage

Cleanse and Nourish Facial

Manual lymphatic drainage is a type of manual manipulation of the skin, not to be confused with massage, based on the hypothesis that it will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph.

A big part of the lymphatic system is located very close to the surface of the body, thus manual lymph drainage techniques are applied very effectively with much less pressure than regular massage.

MLD is intended to increase rhythmic contractions of the lymphatics and stimulate lymph nodes to enhance their activity so stagnant lymphatic fluid can be rerouted.

The typical session lasts 45 to 60 minutes. Long-term maintenance is required for sustained edema control. If the therapist is unsure of anything, the physician must always be consulted. 

MLD was developed in Europe in the 1930s by Danish physiotherapists Estrid and Emil Vodder as a technique to control post-mastectomy lymphedema.

A delicate use of aromatherapy, a heated eye pillow, a trio of scalp massage sensations and a massage on face, jaw, ears and scalp.

Soothe the Senses Scalp Massage

Aim for a 60 min session if you have the time available to really benefit from the whole body balance by working just on the feet. We cover the endocrine system (hormones can be pesky!) the skeletal system (sore shoulders and creaky knees!) and so much more.
This is great if you're just feeling slightly out of whack.

Reflexology

When you calm, breath slowly and centre yourself your body can finally speak. It lets me know where your knots and tension lurks for me to work on it. This might be a full body massage or just back and back of legs. We need to just go with the flow!
