Welcome to Surreal Salon and Gallery! Owner Alyson Black-Barrie is a celebrity, Emmy nominated Hairstylist & Makeup Artist. She has been working in Hollywood as a Makeup Artist & Hairstylist since 2003, joining the 706 union for hair in 2007. As a former Art Student of OCSA & an Art Major of CSULB, Alyson always wanted to sell local art in any salon she owned. She has local artists paint murals & sell their art at the salon and host openings & events for new local artists. The salon was formally named Rocket Science & had a great reputation for being one of the best salons in Long Beach for 16 years. There are many very talented and experienced hairstylists and estheticians working here that can take care of your every beauty need.
