Many kinds of Reiki have developed since the first Reiki teachings came to the west from Japan in 1937. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words—Rei meaning “higher power” and Ki meaning "life force energy", so Reiki translates to “spiritually guided life force energy”. Dr Mikao Usui founded Usui Reiki Ryoho in Tokyo in 1922 and many new Reiki disciplines have emerged since then.

Reiki is a form of energy work that can help balance your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.  Reiki techniques are believed to enhance overall physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. 

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. There is nothing you must believe in order to benefit from Reiki. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe form of energy healing, which aims to treat the whole person. It works in conjunction with all other medical and therapeutic techniques. Reiki is not a cure and should not be used in place of conventional healthcare.

Sound therapy covers a broad range of therapies that utilise sound to address different kinds of physical and mental conditions. It's rooted in the belief that everything in the universe - living or inanimate - is made up of energy and maintains a vibrational frequency. Maintaining the ideal level of frequency is vital to a person's health and wellness; otherwise, an imbalance could lead to a physical, emotional or psychological disorder.

* Gua Sha -  combination of Gua Sha, manual lymphatic drainage, acupressure, and cold stones to refresh and sculpt your complexion. 

* Hot Stone Facial - our Hot Stone Facials use Basalt stones, which have been specially warmed, they will be used to gently massage the face and neck area, using gliding, circular motions with pressure point stimulation.

* Cryotherapy Facial - A holistic Cryotherapy Facial is a fantastic advanced skincare treatment l utilises cold temperature to rejuvenate the skin.

* Fire and Ice Facial - The Fire and Ice Facial introduces a bespoke blend of Hot Stones and Cryotherapy.

Cleansing and oil or moisturiser are applied, so please arrive without make-up. A consultation is required before treatment and multiple sessions may be needed for lasting effects. Individual results may vary.

Acupressure is a complementary therapy that involves applying pressure to specific points on the body to balance energy, promoting healing, reducing muscle tension, relieving pain and much more. Similar to acupuncture in the use of specific acu-points, but utilises pressure from a specialist acupressure pen instead of needles, ideal for those with needle phobias or those who prefer a non-invasive therapy.
Acupressure is believe to stimulate the bodies natural healing processes, increasing blood flow, releasing endorphins and improving oxygen delivery to the stimulated acupressure points.  This helps to relax tense muscles, relieve stiffness, and support the management of pain.  Acupressure techniques used by Soul Focus do not include massage. 

Acupressure therapy can be offered in treatment of the following conditions:

Acupressure

Crystal healing uses the energy and vibrational properties of crystals to interact with the bodies own energy fields promoting relaxation, restoring balance and promoting wellbeing. Crystal healing should be used along side of conventional healthcare to promote health and wellbeing.

Healing Crystals
Healing Practitioners and Metaphysical Advisors believe that each healing crystal has its own energies that promote specific healing benefits.  For example, Rose Quartz can be used to promote self-love and self-acceptance. Different crystal shapes have different properties that can focus energies or enhance the healing properties of the crystal.  Healing crystals involves the placement of crystals on and/or around the body.  This unblocks and changes energy flow promoting relaxation, balance and vitality. During a crystal healing session you will be guided into a relaxed state, you may feel warmth or tingling where crystals are placed and where energies are being moved.

Healing Crystals

Gua Sha can help with pain relief, relieving muscle tension, improving circulation and lymphatic drainage, reducing inflammation and promoting the bodies natural healing processes. It can also be used in the  complimentary treatment of some ailments. At Soul Focus, Gua Sha techniques do not include massage.  Gua Sha is not an alternative to medical care and treatment should be used alongside advice/treatment from your GP/Specialist Practitioner.

Gua Sha Therapy

Meditation is a practice that involves focusing the mind to achieve mental clarity and emotional stability.  Combined with breathwork, this is a beautiful, calming exercise to create calmness in the body, reduce stress, reduce anxiety and improve mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.  

There are various meditation and breathwork techniques that will be used to help you achieve your healing and wellness goals.  Regular meditative practice will help train the mind to detach from reflexive thinking and improve mindfulness whilst regular breathwork practice will help you to remain calm in anxiety provoking or stressful situations.

Meditation and breathwork can be done in a sitting or lying position, whichever you find most comfortable.
