If you wish to have stitch braids, then please have your hair stretched out before the appointment. When we say 'stretched out', you do not necessarily need to apply heat. 

There are many ways to do this as listed below:

- The 'threading' method: Separate your hair in sections the day before your appointment and use a wool thread.
-  The 'braiding' method: Braid your hair in sections 
- The 'twist' method: Section your hair into twists. Can be 4, 6 or 8 sections.

These are 'non-heat' methods that can help to stretch your hair, but you must do them prior to your hair appointment for your hair to really stretch.

Please note if you have high density hair, heat may be applied at the appointment to stretch it out in order to achieve the sleek and neat look stitch braids usually have.
