Wow! I had a butt facial followed by an Esalen massage and it was easily the best massage I've ever had! Jeff is incredibly talented and was very intuitive and responsive to what my body needed. I left totally invigorated and refreshed and would highly recommend. Will be back for sure.

Without a doubt, that was the best therapy I've ever received. I scheduled a ninety-minute bodywork massage and a butt facial. After getting waxed, I needed my glutes to be exfoliated. After the treatment, the skin feels incredibly smooth and soft, and the bodywork massage was exceptional. I had the impression that four hands were on my body. Deep tissue massage is a type of massage technique which uses deep pressure. Combining slow strokes and notable finger pressure, the purpose is to release the tension and tightness held deeply in your muscles and your connective tissues. A deep tissue massage will typically focus on your primary areas of discomfort.

Deep tissue massages may cause you a little discomfort or slight pain in the areas that are causing you trouble. Discomfort is normal with this type of massage therapy. Most clients say it's a “good hurt” where it's a little uncomfortable but feels good at the same time.

Unlike in Swedish massage, in Esalen the client remains largely or completely undraped.



Esalen Massage

Stretch massage works by lengthening your muscles, which allows you to move more easily. It also increases the range of motion in joints that are often locked or stiffened up.

Stretch massage is particularly beneficial for people who spend a lot of time working on computers because it helps counteract all that forward bending and slouching in our daily lives. The shoulder girdle supports much of the body’s weight when we stand upright, so if this area becomes short or tight from an injury or poor posture over time, other areas must compensate. This may lead to back pain, neck strain, headaches, numbness in arms & hands, etc. Stretch massage releases tension and is particularly useful for flexibility.

Oil massage relaxes your mind and body, alleviates stress, and boosts mood. Essential oils can be added on to any type of massage for aromatherapy purposes. Massage therapy has been linked to short-term decrease in physical aches and pains and improved mood. Adding an essential oil for an aromatherapy massage can potentially enhance the effects. For example, if you have aches and pains from depression, then adding a mood-boosting oil like orange could also make you feel better.

 Aromatherapy

Cupping therapy is one of the oldest and most effective method of releasing the toxins from body tissue and organs. It is also known as vacuum cupping, hijama cupping, horn treatment etc. It is a practice in which the therapist puts special cups on the skin to create suction. This causes the tissue beneath the cup to be drawn up and swell causing increase in blood flow to affected area. Enhanced blood flow under the cups draws impurities and toxins away from the nearby tissues and organs towards the surface for elimination.

Massage & Cupping 

A Thai massage is full-body where the practitioner will kneel or walk on the client. Performed on the floor or a firm mat, a typical Thai massage session lasts around 90 minutes. Practitioners use their entire bodies, including their hands, elbows, feet, and knees to stand, kneel, or walk on the recipient and create deep pressure.
Thai massage is geared towards applying deep pressure to improve circulation, mobility, and more.

A body scrub massage is a type of massage where a body scrub is used on the skin instead of regular massage oil. The scrub has many other benefits that can help your skin reach full potential. Body scrubs are a mechanical exfoliant, meaning they physically remove dead skin cells from the outer layer of your skin with abrasive ingredients, like sugar or salt. This stimulates skin cell turnover, resulting in smoother, brighter skin and possibly preventing future acne breakouts.

Body scrub massages are generally safe for everyone. You have to follow all the directions for a body scrub massage they will be safe for you. It’s also important to read the ingredient to see if you are allergic to any ingredients in them. As long as you don’t use them too much or too often they should be fine.
