In the 1930’s, visiting the barbershop was a more refined and ritualistic affair. The barbers was the social hub of the city, a place for men to meet up and banter, while cool jazz played in the background and the scent of Bay Rum floated on the air. At the barbers, a fellow could take time out of his day to sink back into a deep leather chair and be pampered by a master barber. The barbershop was an important part of every man’s life. The only thing that never changes is the way we make a chap feel: Grand.
