The Bespoke Cariad Experience 

Deep tissue massage differs from the traditional Swedish massage by manipulating the tissues in different ways to alleviate any stagnant tension or pain. It is often confused with a more intense form of massage but, the pressure is always tailored to the needs of the individual. 
The focus of a deep tissue massage is to align the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. The application of the massage takes a slower and more focused approach than that of a classic massage treatment with pressure applied more firmly to problem areas. Nicola may use her forearms, elbows, fingertips and knuckles as well as her hands on tight places either following or going across the fibres of the muscles. As a result of this technique, strains can be lengthened, relaxed and released and poor memory patterns within the muscles can be removed. This treatment can promote faster healing because of increased blood flow.

Deep Tissue Massage

Not only is receiving an Indian Head Massage a luxurious way to unwind and relax, it also has many physical and emotional benefits as well making it an essential treatment in your health and wellness journey.

In India, massage has been practiced for over 4,000 years and is featured in Ayurvedic texts and is one of the core principles in Ayurvedic medicine. Over time, these Ayurvedic techniques have been adapted for Western use. The Indian Head Massage principally aims to release muscle and joint tension especially around the head, face, neck and shoulders. An Indian Head Massage provides a relaxing and calming experience often leaving you with an uplift in energy which assists with increased concentration and leaves you feeling revitalised.

This holistic therapy can be carried out in a seated or laying down position, either clothed or with organic massage oils if preferred. Either way it remains one of the most relaxing experiences you can benefit from. 


Indian Head Massage 

Everyone can benefit from a therapeutic massage treatment, as a preventative measure to maintain good health or to help with a specific problem. Swedish Massage, one of the most common and effective forms of massage treatment, is not only a relaxing treat; it can be used as a preventative treatment to maintain good health or can be used as a treatment for a specific health problem.
A Swedish massage aids relaxation whilst ensuring you are giving your body and mind care. Much the same as how regular exercise promotes good health, massage benefits all the various systems in the body, promoting mental as well as physical wellness in a variety of ways. The techniques used comprises of light to firm gliding strokes, integrated with stretching and ranging of the joints to promote relaxation through the release of muscle tension. The techniques used also helps improve circulation and in turn releases built up toxins from your body which will promote wellness and reduce stress.

The Bespoke Cariad Experience

Hopi Ear Candling is gentle, deeply relaxing and non-invasive treatment which can help some ear, nose and throat conditions. This is also complimented with a facial lymphatic drainage, neck & scalp massage in your treatment session. 
This is an ancient and natural therapy handed down by many civilisations. It is believed that the Ancient Greeks used ear candles, possibly for cleansing, purifying and healing on a spiritual basis but much later on a purely physical basis. However, the practice reached the modern world via the native American Hopi Indians of North Arizona (it's interesting to note that Hopi means peaceful people).

Aromatherapy massage combines two therapeutic practices to create wonderful results. It is an ancient approach that provides many health and emotional benefits. Aromatherapy massage adds essential oils to the massage which will be absorbed through the skin for additional health benefits and to enhance the massage experience.
There are a wide variety of aromatherapy oils or essences that can be used to target a range of physical and emotional concerns as each of them has healing properties. During your session oils are blended specifically for your needs and intentions in mind. Your bespoke blend of essential oils will be mixed with a carrier oil and applied to the skin with a wide range of massage techniques. These blends can also be made for your use post treatment to enhance the benefits long term.

Aromatherapy Massage

A hot stone massage is a type of relaxing deep massage therapy that uses soothing organic oils with warm basalt stones, using these stones can induce transformation on many levels. Basalt stones originate from volcanic matter and are extremely effective in their thermal and energy conductive effects. Due to their formation, they are mineral rich and retain heat which all add and aid your massage experience by deeply penetrating the muscle to relax and soothe. Nicola will massage to an effective pressure that is comfortable to you. The pressure can be adapted using the hot stone, which allows a deeper massage yet allowing to the muscle to remain relaxed because of the heat from the stone.  The shape and size of the stones helps give a deeper tissue massage.
A full and comprehensive consultation will be completed prior to your treatment and session can be adapted throughout to suit your needs and intentions.

Reiki & Guided Meditation

Reiki is a relaxing and peaceful modality of energy work, that encourages the physical and energetic bodies natural ability to heal itself and remove any potential energetic blocks. Reiki delivers a holistic approach encompassing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing of an individual.
Your personal comfort is an essential part of the Reiki session. You will remain fully clothed laying on the massage couch or, during a remote session, in a place where you can be seated or laying down in a peaceful and comfortable position. Nicola (a Reiki Master) will use her hands either gently on you or above you as she is guided by the energy flow to promote the natural healing process. 
Any time is a good time to visit an energy worker. If you are stressed, anxious, or physically drained, a Reiki session can help you relax and feel more balanced and aligned. 

Reiki 

Reflexology is a gentle and effective holistic healing treatment that focuses on creating a state of balance and harmony. At the start of the session your feet are massaged to relax you before pressure is applied to a range of reflex points across your feet (or hands) that correspond to different parts of the body including major organs using specific finger and thumb techniques. 
During this therapy you can be either seated or gently reclined on our massage couch. Shoes and socks are the only items of clothing required to be removed. Most people can benefit from reflexology, it can bring relief to a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions. We also use detailed foot reflex maps to monitor changes between your appointments.
Overall, a reflexology treatment is pleasant and soothing, it relaxes and at the same time stimulates the body’s own healing processes. The  of intention of reflexology is to trigger the return of homeostasis in the body, a state of equilibrium or balance.

Guided meditation is a holistic practice in which Nicola, your facilitator, helps relax and guide you to your inner self and connect to your own innate wisdom. At Cariad we offer guided meditation sessions in our safe, calm, and relaxing therapy space or sessions can be managed online so you can remain in the comfort of your own home. 
Our sessions can be carried out lying down to enable total relaxation or in a seated position; all needs will be catered for. Guided meditation can also be incorporated into other sessions such as Reiki / Distance Reiki, Massage and Reflexology.  This can be extremely helpful for unifying the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual parts of ourselves, and often leaves you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and present.
An initial consultation is included, and all meditations are tailored with your needs and goals in mind. If you’re new to meditation this is a great place to start.
