The skin is thoroughly washed, exfoliated, extractions are performed, high-frequency is used to kill acne-causing bacteria on contact, it is then followed my a cooling/hydration mask, LED light therapy, moisturizer, and SPF

Microdermabrasion treatments use a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer. It includes all the steps in the Classic Facial.
Pre-treatment Care: 
Stay out of the sun for 2 to 4 weeks before a session. Use SPF. 
Do not use self-tan or spray tan 
Do not wax, tweeze or bleach 2 to 4 wks before your treatment. You may still use a razor
Do not use Retin-A for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
Do not use Roaccutane for 6 months prior to treatment
