If you are sensitive to pain, this makes the lip filler procedure very comfortable.

Injectable local anesthetic

Lip fillers help restore and add lost volume to the lips. It also helps to soften fine lines around the mouth including smokers lines.. With an instant result which improves as the product settles and can last about 12 months. Lip fillers contain Hyaluronic Acid, a natural hydration substance that the body produces. The material plumps up the skin, fills wrinkles and adds volume and definition. This substance is broken down over time and reabsorbed into the body resulting in a non-permanent cosmetic effect. Dr. Lorraine uses Aliaxin® by IBSA who also produce our popular Profhilo treatment.
The treatment is offered per 1ml - you can choose to have less than 1ml and reassess during the treatment as the effect takes place so that you are satisfied with the end result.
There is the option to add an injectable local anesthetic to the treatment plan for a more comfortable experience. This incurs an additional cost of €30.

Not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Lip filler 1ml

Dermal fillers are composed of a clear gel, known as hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is naturally occurring and abundantly present within our bodies. It is a very hydrophilic, or water-loving molecule, which accounts for its ability to give plumping and hydration to tissues. The molecules of HA are stuck to each other during the manufacturing process, and the number and type of bonds between the molecules determines how stiff, thick, or pliable a particular filler is. Stiffer fillers are best used deep in the tissues, for volumising, while softer and more pliable formulations may be used in more mobile areas such as the lips. The softest formulations do not create any volume, but are used to deeply hydrate the skin from within. Selection of the correct filler is paramount to achieving the desired result. At Darcy Clinic, only FDA-approved fillers are used: these are the highest quality products on the market, and the ones which have been tested most rigorously for safety.

Dr Lorraine would inject a corticosteroid solution directly into the hypertrophic scar. This helps breakdown the bonds between collagen fibers, which reduces and softens the amount of scar tissue beneath the skin. This treatment usually results in significant improvement in the appearance of hypertrophic scar and is popular for caesarean section, surgical incision, acne and burn scars.
Depending on the age and size of the scar, several treatments may be necessary and results take three to six months. Best results are found with use on recent scar tissue.  This treatment is not suitable for a keloid scar or stretch marks.

HIFEM Consult

The abdomen treatment is designed to strengthen the core and improve diastasis recti post-pregnancy. It is non-invasive and you stay fully clothed throughout, although light clothing such as leggings are recommended. 
The treatment duration is 30 minutes and a course of 6 to 8 treatments taken once or twice a week is recommended for best results. The treatment involves lying down on your back while having a HIFEM paddle striped to your abdomen.  The paddle will create electromagnetic stimulation that triggers 20,000 muscle contractions per treatment. The sessions can feel uncomfortable at first depending on the weakness of your core but it becomes more comfortable as the muscles strengthen. There is the option to use radio frequency (RF) for weight loss at the same time as the HIFEM treatment.
