Getting started
Before you begin managing your text message balance:
- If you are a team member make sure you request permission to access Wallet and card processing.
- Add a default payment method that can be used for top-ups.
How text allowance works
Your text message balance allows you to send automated messages to clients, improving communication. Your balance consists of a monthly quota provided by Fresha, plus any additional top-ups you choose to add. These are managed separately, giving you flexibility in how you use them. Here’s how it works:
-
Free monthly allowance:
You'll receive a free quota of text messages monthly, based on your account activity, automatically renewed on the 1st of each month. For example, if your allowance is 20 messages and you use only 10, you'll have 20 messages available again from the 1st of the next month.
-
Balance top-up:
If you need more than the monthly free text message allowance, you can purchase additional text messages through manual or automatic top-ups. These purchased messages do not expire and will remain in your balance until they are used, irrespective of the monthly reset.
Confirmation text messages sent to clients for upfront payments and card capture policies will be deducted from your text allowance.
