Set-up in 2019, the Lodge Wellness Centre is a place of happiness.  Our doors are open to people of all ages, and we welcome everyone regardless of their sex, religion, or disability.  We’re proud to work with local community groups and we support many corporate organisations as well as individuals.

As we've grown, so have the services we offer, including Little Lodge, our dedicated facility on site established to create a safe, warm, and inviting space for children and young adults with additional needs.

Massage

A reiki treatment is simple, safe, none-invasive, gentle yet powerful. You will lie down, fully clothed, and comfortable on a treatment bed. A hand position will be held over each chakra as needed for several minutes, starting with the head, and finishing on the feet. Other hand positions may also be made on different areas too if needed. There is no pressure during the treatment, but you may feel heat or tingling. As the whole body is treated fully, the energy of the reiki can go right to the source of any imbalances in your body, gently restoring harmony.

Reiki

You will receive a relaxing massage within a calming and inviting space.  This massage can be done at a preferred pressures that focuses on the body's superficial layers.

During this treatment the areas we focus on are: feet, legs, thighs, neck and shoulders. We also focus on the back and head.

Swedish Body Massage

Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

At the Lodge we offer guided meditation, breathwork and mindfulness.

1-2-1 Meditation  

Suitable for complete beginners and those getting back into a yoga practice, or perhaps recovering from injury/illness or in the second trimester of pregnancy. Gentle yoga postures that allow us to become aware of our present physical capabilities, beginning where you are. Practising breath awareness, linked with movement, slowly, slowly building strength, flexibility and confidence.

You will be supported with lots of options for modifying the poses and invited to use yoga props to go at your own pace, and settle down to enjoy the relaxation at the end of class.

During this mini treatment you will focus your attention on your breath for a short period of time. You will also experience a light treatment to the face and neck through creams, lotions, facial masks and massage.

During a treatment your practitioner will begin massaging your feet and applying pressure to target areas, helping you to de-stress and relax.

Mini Chakra Reiki with Balancing & Meditation (for children) - 45 mins

During this mini treatment you will focus on sound to alter your brainwaves, through the use of a special type of audio technology. The rhythms are said to create the same mental state as mediation, but is much faster. Sounds vibrations help maintain or improve physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health and well-being. Can also help relieve pain and aid good sleep and a clear mind, helping you to be able to have more focus in your day to day life. In a sound healing session, we will use instruments, such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, percussion, music, Tibetan bowls or harmonics to crate sounds or vibrations to calm the body and mind.

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Sometimes called essential oil therapy. Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medically to improve the health of the body, mind and spirit. The oils are blended by our therapist on the premises to tailor the treatment to the individual and their needs.

Aromatherapy Massage

The Bowen Technique is a soft tissue remedial therapy. The technique involves the therapist using fingers and thumbs to move over muscle, ligament, tendon and fascia in a various parts of the body. The work is non-invasive, very subtle, relaxing and gentle involving no hard prolongs pressure. Bowen aims to balances the whole person not just symptoms.
