During dry needling a small, solid filament needle is inserted into a contracted painful knotted muscle to create a local twitch reflex which is both diagnostic and therapeutic as it is the first step in breaking the pain cycle. The body considers the needle as a foreign invader and will activate the immune system as a response. The cut muscle fibers will then produce an inflammatory reaction.

Medical Acupuncture 

Cupping therapy is an ancient form alternative therapy which dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese and middle Eastern cultures. During cupping therapy therapists apply silicone cups to the skin for a few minutes to create suction.
The application of cups can be used to treat a variety of conditions such as muscle pain and tension, reduced joint movement, headaches, back pain, sciatica, stress and anxiety.
