Electrolysis Hair Removal

 Advanced electrolysis works by using an electric current and a fine needle to cauterise a skin lesion. 
Our experienced and highly trained advanced electrolysis practitioners use a sterilised and disposable needle and variable current. This produces a heating effect which, when applied to the blemish, causes the structure and its content to coagulate or dry up.

Your therapist will make sure advanced electrolysis is safe for you to have and have a look at the area to be treated. After care advice will be given which is important for skin recovery.

Please note some lesions may require more than 1 treatment. Your therapist will be able to advise you on this during your consultation.

Advanced Electrolysis Consultation - Plus 10 Minute Treatment

Skin Tags are very common and mostly found on the neck and face. They are often found in areas of friction such as the underarm, under the breasts or around the neck where necklaces may rub.

Treatment involves using a fine sterile probe and an heat whilst carefully avoiding the surrounding skin. The tag will change in colour and will drop off in the next few days or may require a further treatment a few weeks later. 

No incisions are made and no stitches are necessary. The area should heal completely within 2 days to 3 weeks.

Milia are tiny cysts that contain keratin and sebum. They are white, firm to touch and the size of a pinhead.
Most commonly occur over the upper cheeks and under the eyes, but can occur anywhere on the body. They can appear on their own or in clusters.

Seborrhoeic Keratosis is type of wart which is normally associated with ageing, although it can also be caused by genetics or too much exposure to the sun over a long period. Seborrhoeic Keratosis has a dry texture, is heavily pigmented and appears as though is has been ‘stuck on’ to the skin.
Verrucas (Planter Warts) appear as small irritations on the foot and seem dry and crusty.  They can present anywhere on and around the foot including the base, the toes and even between the toes.  They vary in size considerably with some presenting as small 1 or 2 mm. 

Please note, more than one treatment is likely to be required for long term stubborn warts.

Seborrhoeic Keratosis / Verruca Removal with Advanced Electrolysis

Cherry Angioma (Campbell De Morgans) or also known as Blood Spots, range in colour from bright red to purple. 
They are usually round, dome shaped, have a smooth surface and can be up to 5mm in diameter. They are due to a proliferation of the blood capillaries and occur mainly on the trunk of the body. Advanced electrolysis can, in one treatment, quickly remove these lesions or reduce them in size however, larger cherry spots may require more treatment.

Telangiectasia (Red Veins / Thread Veins) are small blood vessels that have become widened and visible just beneath the surface of the skin on the face. 
They cause thread like red lines or patterns on the skin which form gradually and often in clusters. They usually appear on the face around the nose, cheeks and on the chin.
Advanced electrolysis easily removes Telangiectasia . A small amount of heat is applied to a tiny probe. By lightly tapping this heated probe over the red vein, the blood vessels are cauterised making the red colour disappear.

More often, results are instant however, stronger veins may require 2-4 treatments. 

Veins may also reappear in the future if there are any underlying causes / conditions.
