Spray tan is applied via a spray gun as a light mist which provides an even tan. The DHA, active ingredient, reacts chemically with the amino acids in the top layer of the skin producing different tones of colouration from golden to brown. Each person has a different level of amino acids which is why we all naturally tan slightly differently. I have a range of products for that perfect tan to suit your skin type. Disposable underwear & hair net is provided. TO AVOID PATCHY TANS PLEASE EXFOLIATE & MOISTURISE THE DAY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. SHAVE OR WAX 24HRS AHEAD. Pregnant ladies can’t have a spray tan. Spray Tan 

A Bio Sculpture gel nail treatment involves the application of a targeted base layer and gel polish, using a UV lamp to cure the gel. A bespoke service where the application process is customised to match the condition of your nails. Please allow 1.5 hrs for your treatment, depending on how much nail prep is required. Lots of colour choice to suit your mood!

The Bio Sculpture Ethos system offers you a prescriptive range of nail treatments. These are specifically designed to increase longevity and improve nail health by treating specific concerns.

The Gemini nail polish will remain tacky for some time so please be careful not to apply any pressure on the nails after leaving SoBeau. It is advisable to prepare for your departure before the polish is applied. For pedicures wear flip-flops & allow at least one hour to allow polish to dry!!! 

Pedicure with Gemini nail polish

Using tweezers or gentle wax to give a more defined brow. Waxing is an effective, long-lasting way to maintain eyebrow shape, lasting up to 6 weeks depending on hair growth. 

Please note - Retinoic acids, AHAs, BHAs, PHAs, etc encourage faster skin cell turnover by exfoliation which encourages your skin to shed those cells, leaving smooth, healthy skin underneath.  Please let your Beauty Therapist know if you are using this product in your skin care routine as this can make skin more susceptible to burns and the top layer being 'grazed' during waxing. Please avoid using this product for at least a week before your brow wax appointment. Or we may consider plucking the brows instead of wax. 

Please note that the skin around the brow area may become slightly pink immediately after the brow treatment. This is normal & the skin should settle within 2-12 hrs. Soothing gel will be applied to the area.

Tint is applied to freshly shaped brow. Choice of tint colour will be discussed

Facial using Tropic Skincare

Treatment will be tailored to your areas of concern. I use the Swedish Massage Technique with aromatherapy oils. We start the treatment by discussing any specific areas of tension, the depth of pressure you prefer, & if you prefer to feel relaxed or awake.

It is important that you feel comfortable & relaxed. During your treatment you will be covered with towels and blankets & most clients just wear underwear. I recommend wearing warm & loose clothing for your journey home. Unless you have allergies, candles will be lit which include aromatherapy oils. In winter I use a heated blanket. You can expect to be properly pampered!

After your massage, it is common to experience headaches, soreness, & sluggishness. They can be signs that muscle tenseness has been released & toxins are making their way out of your system. It is recommended that you drink plenty of water, wear comfortable clothing & indulge yourself for the rest of the day. Take time out to make the most of your treatment!

Massage

A patch test is a method used to determine if you are allergic to a specific substance. It is just a small spot of tan applied to the inside of your arm or behind your ear at least 48 hrs before your appointment.

A lash lift is designed to enhance the natural lashes by giving an illusion of longer & thicker looking lashes. A lash lift gives the natural lash a curl so that lashes look more prominent, emphasised further by the lash tint.

A low maintenance treatment that typically lasts at least 6-8 weeks.

The treatment itself takes an hour. Please arrive at your appointment with no make-up.

Patch test is required at least 24 hours ahead of the treatment. Please add this to your online booking.

Lash Lift & Tint

A lash tint is a 25-minute procedure where semi-permanent dye is painted onto the eyelashes to make them appear thicker, darker, and fuller. It can especially boost the appearance and noticeability of lighter-coloured lashes, or anyone with red to light brown lashes. It also helps to make lashes look thicker because of the intensity of the colour. Lash tints can modify your makeup routine by cutting down on the time spent repeatedly coating lashes with mascara. 

Although lash tinting gives more definition & depth of colour it won't give the effect of a lash curl or lift. If you are looking for more curl or lift, then you may want to consider booking a lash lift & tint instead.

Eyebrow tinting is the process of applying semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape, darken, and define your brows. Darkening the tiny, fine hairs in and around your eyebrows helps create the illusion of thicker, fuller, and longer brows.

Wax is applied to your skin then removed pulling the hair out by the root, peeling excess dead skin cells with it. Hair grows back slower than shaving, so you stay smooth longer. Waxing changes hair texture usually making hair finer when it grows back.

Your wax treatment might affect your skin if you use powerful exfoliators on your skin. These products strip cells from the skin. Too much exfoliation combined with waxing could make skin red, bleed or even scab over.  Please let me know in advance

Face Waxing

Please make sure your hair ¼ inch long minimum

Exfoliate 2-3 times per week leading up to waxing to remove dead skin & lift trapped hairs. twice or three times a week is fine.

Never exfoliate right before waxing as it could irritate the skin. The best moment to exfoliate is two to three days before waxing.

Use a loofah, wash mitten or scrub with small grains & moisturising ingredients, rub gently in circular motions. Coarse grains and strong rubbing will irritate your skin. 

Moisturise regularly as dry skin can get damaged more easily with wax but don't use lotion right before waxing; your skin needs to be completely clean

Skin tags / moles - please cover them with a small band-aid.

Avoid sun exposure as it increases the risk for irritation and skin ripping

Skin is more sensitive around your period, so waxing might feel more painful. Choose the few days after your period instead

Protect your natural nails and avoid damage by choosing a professional gel removal service. This treatment gently removes your gel overlays, includes a quick nail tidy, and finishes with an Ethos vitamin base coat to keep your nails healthy & strong. 

If you would like to add on a thorough cuticle tidy, nail shape, hand/foot cream & top coat please select Gel Removal with Express Manicure/Pedicure

Gel removal 

A silk wrap is applied under the Bio Sculpture gel base coat to provide support & protection to a damaged or torn nail. The wrap isn't visible once cured. The nail can then grow whilst being supported for the 2-to-3-week duration until gel removal. 

If you have one or more damaged nails that are torn or split, then please consider adding the silk wrap to your Bio Sculpture gel manicure or pedicure. If unsure then please contact SoBeau via email sarah@sobeau.beauty
