Microneedling, also called skin needling, collagen induction therapy (CIT), percutaneous collagen induction (PCI), or dermarolling, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The premise of microneedling is similar to that of other methods aimed at skin rejuvenation by triggering a wound response, when the body is injured it starts a complex cascade of healing processes that result in the generation of new tissues.
