A TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peel is a cosmetic treatment that uses trichloroacetic acid to exfoliate the skin and promote cell turnover. After the peel, the skin may experience redness, peeling, and flaking, with downtime typically lasting 7 to 10 days for medium-depth peels.
