Hi, I’m Kara! I’m a qualified Nail Technician and Artist with 4 years of experience. I work by appointment only out of my cute little studio upstairs at Blondies of Melbourne in Fitzroy North. I work with builder and hard gel products and I specialise in natural nail health and cute and custom hand-painted nail art. Come to me with your wildest nail ideas and we will make them happen! This service is for existing clients whose last builder/hard gel service completed by me is still in good condition. No more than 3-4 weeks is recommended between rebalances. If you have left an extended period of time between rebalances you may require a removal and new application which will incur additional costs.

In this service I file down the structure of the existing product and reapply builder or hard gel, incorporating the new nail growth into the structure I create. This service includes a dry manicure and is finished with a gel polish of your choice and nourishing cuticle oil.

Builder/Hard Gel Rebalance/Refill

Add this on to your base service for 20-30 minutes of nail art. In level 1 you can have something simple on every nail, or something a little more complex on a couple of nails. If you have an idea of what you'd like, please send it through via instagram DM or email to ensure we have enough time.

Some examples: one colour chrome, french, simple dot work, hearts.

Level 1 Nail Art

Add this on to your base service for 40-50 minutes of nail art. My Nail Art levels are created based on the time and skill required to create art. If you have an idea of what you'd like, please send it through via instagram DM or email to ensure we have enough time.

Level 2 Nail Art

This service is for clients who have had a gel polish manicure with me and would like their gel removed and reapplied. If you have gel polish applied by another tech please book a removal and a new gel polish manicure.

In this service I will remove your original gel and apply a new colour without the need for soaking in acetone. This service includes a dry manicure with cuticle clean up and is finished with nourishing cuticle oil.

Please note: I now have a 'Gel Polish Reapplication' service available for regular gel polish clients as an alternative to booking a removal and gel polish manicure.

This service is for the removal of gel polish, previously applied by me, on natural nails only. In this service I gently file off the top layer of gel polish before soaking your nails in an acetone-based soak-off mix and gently pushing off the product with a cuticle pusher.

In this service I will file the product down to a very thin layer and depending on whether it is hard or soft builder gel I will either soak off or buff off the remainder.

Gel Polish Manicure

This service includes a dry manicure and prescriptive builder or hard gel overlay on your natural nails to create structure and strength. Prescriptive means I will assess your nails and select a builder gel to suit, but if you have had hard gel or softer gel in the past and loved it, let me know! If you have one or two nails that are shorter than the rest, we can sculpt some extensions to match them all up - if you want all of your nails extended to be longer, please book for hard gel extensions instead This service is finished with a gel polish colour of your choice and nourishing cuticle oil.

Builder Gel/Hard Gel Structured Manicure

This service begins with a dry manicure. I then sculpt nail extensions onto your natural nails with Hard Gel using paper moulds called forms. This gives me the ability to sculpt the right shape and curve to grow with your natural nail. With hard gel we can make your extensions as long as you would like and in any nail shape you would like. This service is finished with a gel polish colour of your choice and nourishing cuticle oil.

Hard Gel Nail Sculpted Nail Extensions

Repair of a damaged nail enhancement - price will vary depending on whether the repair is done during a pre-existing appointment or if the repair is a standalone appointment. If you need multiple nails repaired or have complex nail art on the nail needing a repair please contact me.
If you have damaged the nail in a way where there is blood or pain please contact me - we will need to wait until it is healed before I can work on it.
