Acupuncture aims to balance the body’s energy flow, by inserting thin needles into specific points along meridian pathways. This technique can restore hormone imbalances, reduce stress, increase uterine blood flow and improve overall well-being, which has been shown to improve the body’s ability to successfully conceive. 

 Acupuncture for pre-conception

Reiki is a  complementary treatment accessible to anyone. I am a Reiki Master, and Reiki Master Teacher, with a wealth of experience and hundreds of case studies demonstrating the success of this ancient form of energy healing for people who may be experiencing energy blocks or pain both physically or emotionally. During a session I will use gentle touch and energy balancing techniques to help realign and cleanse the body's biofield and energy centres, known as chakras. The process aims to remove blockages and promote a free flow of energy throughout the body, enhancing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.  Clients typically experience a deep sense of relaxation,  visual images/colours, several different physical sensations such as heat, tingling, floating, clarity, a sense of release of tension and peace after the session and often for several days following a treatment. Reiki Treatment

I am a Midwife with over 18 years experience, over 200 CPD hours of foundation level acupuncture training and additional pregnancy and childbirth acupuncture training with the British Medical Acupuncture Society.
Acupuncture can support clients with nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, management of breech presentation - acupuncture and moxibustion, cervical ripening, birth preparation and induction of labour and pregnancy associated musculoskeletal pain.

Our pelvic floor muscles are just like other skeletal muscles in our body and can be trained to get stronger and more flexible to optimise their function. ooking after our pelvic health is not just about pelvic floor exercises; we also need to think about our bladder and bowels. Preventing constipation is key and making sure we are not straining on the toilet. Acupuncture can really help with this. Certain liquids and toxins we are exposed to can irritate our bladder. This can lead to increased urgency or frequency of passing urine and also leaking for some people. Acupuncture can help by focusing on clearing the liver for example to ensure the body is working optimally and supporting your pelvic floor health. I will educate you on how to find and train your pelvic floor muscles to build strength, resistance and flexibility - all equally as important. 

Acupuncture for pelvic health

Facial rejuvenation is achieved by inserting very thin acupuncture needles at different points along specific meridians to attain tonification, elimination of some wrinkles and decrease in length and depth of others, decrease of facial oedema, decrease of acne and rosacea, improved facial muscle tone, skin texture with tighter pores, and decrease of sagging around the eyes, cheeks, chin, and neck.

Women can hold onto energy, pain and grief following life events such as, miscarriage, traumatic birth experience, fertility challenges, PMS/PMDD, sexual violence, perimenopause and menopause. I use a variety of healing modalities including Reiki, which promotes healing by activating the parasympathetic response helping the body break the 'fight/flight/freeze' response; rebalance emotionally and heal at a very deep level. Divine energy healing, can incorporate Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks and spiritual guidance to remove blockages and promote free flowing energy throughout the body. These may be deep rooted historical emotional trauma wounds; by healing the emotional memory stored throughout the body, clients typically experience a deep sense of release, clarity, and harmony after the session and typically for several days following the treatment.
