The vampire facial, also known as the PRP facial, is a cosmetic procedure that combines micro-needling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. 

A sample of blood is taken from a vein and the blood is put through a machine called a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins the blood to separate the PRP from the other blood components. 

The PRP is then drawn up and used to either microneedle into the skin or used as mesotherapy to directly target certain areas such as fine lines, scarring, under eyes or hair restoration. 

The PRP contains a high concentration of growth factors and other healing properties that help stimulate tissue regeneration and improves the overall appearance of the skin by promoting collagen and elastin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and acne scarring. When injected into the scalp, PRP stimulates hair follicles, promotes hair growth, and improves the thickness and quality of existing hair and is a recommended treatment post hair transplantation.
