At Empowered Body & Mind, we believe that understanding a child’s background, strengths, and challenges is key to providing effective support. That’s why we offer a comprehensive Parent Consultation before beginning sessions with your son. This initial meeting allows us to gather valuable insights about his personality, interests, emotional needs, and any specific struggles he may be facing—whether it’s with confidence, school engagement, social interactions, or emotional regulation. During the consultation, we’ll explore key areas such as his home environment, school experience, peer relationships, and any past or current challenges. We’ll also discuss what has worked well in the past and any strategies or approaches that may help him feel more comfortable and supported. This helps us create a tailored approach that meets his unique needs and ensures he feels safe and understood from the start.

Parent Initial Appointment

Our ongoing sessions are designed to be both effective and engaging for young people. Each session includes 30 minutes of clinical support focused on developing emotional awareness, coping strategies, and building confidence, followed by 30 minutes of recreational activities to help break up the session and keep it enjoyable. This balanced approach ensures that the young person remains engaged and comfortable throughout the session. The recreational component allows them to relax, build trust, and express themselves in a low-pressure environment, making the overall experience positive and meaningful. This structure helps foster both emotional growth and a sense of enjoyment, ensuring that each session feels supportive and rewarding.
