One popular variation of Polynesian massage is the Lomi Lomi massage, also known as "loving hands" massage. This technique incorporates not only physical manipulation but also a holistic approach, aiming to balance the body, mind, and spirit. Lomi Lomi massage often utilizes long, sweeping motions that mimic the waves of the ocean, creating a sense of deep relaxation and harmony.  'Lomi lomi' translates to 'rub rub' in Hawaiian, and reflects the broad, flowing strokes made with the therapist's fingers, thumbs, palms, arms and elbows.
