If you haven't had a spray tan before, you should have a patch test before tanning. By applying a small amount of tanning solution to an inconspicuous area, like behind the ear or the inner crease of the elbow, using a cotton bud. Allow the product to dry and wait 24 hours to guarantee that your  skin hasn’t shown any signs of sensitivity, such as redness or inflammation, to the ingredients. If no reaction occurs you can get a spray tan as normal.
