My approach is one of bringing the body into symmetry, through gentle Bowen moves. Throughout the treatment, I continually assess the body - my range of assessments helps me to pinpoint where the body is being pulled out of alignment, and treat that area. It's often surprising where the real source of misalignment and pain truly is.

My approach to treatment involves assessments to ascertain the body’s restrictions.  This is effective for both musculoskeletal problems, as well as stress/anxiety or functional issues such as digestion.

I prefer to treat only one client at a time, to maintain focus on that client's needs.  Similarly, I don't leave the room between moves so the client is never left alone.

Bowen can be done directly on skin (with towels, of course) but is also effective done through loose, light clothing.  

Bowen is best done lying down (my key assessments are done lying face down), but most can be done seated.

A session will typically take up to an hour, including reassessment and treatment.

Bowen Therapy for school-aged children.

For children of current clients, or if book together with mum/dad, a discounted rate of $60 will apply.

A session will typically take less than 45minutes, including (re)assessment and treatment.

Bowen Therapy

During the session, I use assessments to seeing how the body moves, in conjunction with the symptoms presented, help to determine the right approach to treatment.  “Moves” involve light pressure in particular locations to enable release of muscles or muscle groups.

Treatment can be done through light clothing.  Highly adaptable, many moves are best done seated or standing - a great choice if lying down is problematic.

Emmett Technique

I use the Emmett Technique for lymphatic drainage, following a rhythmic sequence around the body with light touch moves.  

Treatment can be done through light clothing, lying on your back for the entirety, and is extremely relaxing - it’s not uncommon to fall asleep.
