I’ve wanted color for months, but I haven’t been able to find a natural hair salon that focused on healthy colorful hair. When my friend pointed me in the direction of Citryne Rose NY i was so excited to schedule my color consultation. Leena made me feel very comfortable in my appointment. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. My appointment started on time which is a huge plus! And my hair was beautiful, healthy, and so well taken care of. I can’t wait to schedule my trim in 3 months! Thank you!

What an amazing experience! I traveled here from upstate CT and it was worth it!! Upon arrival, I was greeted, Julie placed a silk robe on me, and even tied the front of it for me. Although I did a virtual color consultation, we went over everything again and we were aligned. The services I received was a color correction, cut, and a silk press. Julie is seriously the GREATEST OF ALL TIME. She’s such a sweetheart and she really has me feeling myself! I love how her entire team compliments each others work too! Overall a great atmosphere and I will be returning! Thank you Julie!!

I had a great experience from the time I walked in the door. Literally the best my natural hair has ever been treated and I trusted the stylist Leena to cut my hair. I started my journey at Citryne Rose in 2020. I had been referred to her gifted hands years before but it took me a bit to get in her chair. I started out with a blow-dry from Leena (kind, sweet, skilled). My next appointment would be Dastine! I booked a curly cut style. I wavered on if I wanted to “cut my hair short”. I talked myself out of it, but Dastine hyped me up and boosted my confidence to commit to my original request. I can’t thank her enough! The short hair brought back that spark I needed! Fast forward to almost a year later! My hair is healthy yall! Thank you ladies so much!

Today was my first visit and it was a great experience from start to finish. I was promptly greeted and caped. They even had personalized name tags on them which was a nice touch. Everything was efficient and Leena handled my hair with care. I definitely recommend this salon!

This was my first time at a natural salon and my first time getting my hair professionally colored. Safe to say all of my old trust issues with salons are gone. Citryne Rose is a beautiful salon with a beautiful and warm team. The ladies provide great service (be sure to clear your schedule). I booked a double process color (ginger/copper) with bayalage for a sunkissed look. Julie SLAYED my color and cut, it’s absolutely beautiful. The space was really nice, the receptionist was very attentive and I was so happy with how my hair looked and felt when Julie was finished. My one complaint, after sitting under the dryer for my hydration treatment, I sat for an additional 15 minutes while Julie finished sewing in a weave for another stylist. I would have hoped that once I was finished under the dryer, she would have come back and finished me - a paying customer - instead of making me wait. I would want to make Citryne my new salon but my not because of that. Thank you!

I drove from Boston just for my hair appt. Julie was everything and more! i can genuinely say i've never felt more beautiful. From the moment i got in the chair, it was nothing but laughs and great convo. She was extremely professional, punctual and just overall amazing! I can't wait to come back and see her again. It was more than hair, you really got an experience. It was worth the wait , the long drive. I would highly recommend her, if she hasn't done your hair. You're missing out!

I’ve been coming to this salon for now 12 years and the only person who I trust my hair with is Sophie. When I first came here my hair was extremely dry and brittle but she changed that by using a really good deep conditioning and when I want to change hair color, which I do with every changing of seasons, Sophie gives me exactly what I want but she will definitely give you her honest opinion if what you want will not be good for you. I trust Sophie 100%.
