You'll be left with little scars where the hairs were removed. Hair transplants usually take a day to do, and you may need more than one session if a large area is being treated. You should see new hair appearing within the first six months.

What should I expect during a hair treatment appointment?

What your hair stylist does during a treatment will be dictated by the treatment you choose. Your treatment may be carried out on washed, unwashed, wet, or dry hair. Ask your stylist before you book your appointment what’s involved in the process and how long it’s likely to take. Applying a detox treatment takes a matter of minutes, hair toning can take between 5-20 minutes, hot oil and moisturising treatments take around 20 minutes, glossing is likely to take between 30 and 40 minutes, and you’ll need to allow 1-2 hours if you’re having your hair relaxed, and 1-3 hours if you’re booked in for a keratin treatment.

No. If you have dry, over-processed, or damaged hair you may want to avoid treatments that could make your hair health worse or irritate your scalp. Ask your hair stylist to advise you on the treatments that would work best for you.
