Hot/Cold Contrast Therapy - 60 Min - Infrared Sauna & Ice Bath @ 10⁰C

Please allow 90 minutes for your session, which includes a 1hr (60min) float time plus time for a shower before and after your float, and a briefing if you have not floated with us before.

90 Minute Session (60min float)

Designed for rapid recovery for athletes/active people or aiding poor circulation for those who spend a lot of time standing or sitting. 

Intermittent pneumatic compression technology enhances blood flow to improve recovery & enhance performance. The various therapy modes massage limbs & mobilise fluid, toxins and lactic acid build-up accumulated in the muscles & joints, enhancing circulation & reducing soreness.  

Wear comfortable yet tightfitting clothes (if too loose - fabric may bunch during compression). Choose your treatment area on arrival.  Both Normatec and Recovery Systems units are available to treat:   
a)   LEGS - feet, ankles, calves, knees, hamstrings & quads (varying leg sizes available).
b)  ARMS - hands/wrists, biceps, triceps, rotator cuffs, lats, & base of neck (one size fits most).
c)   HIPS - quads, hamstrings, IT Bands, glutes & lower back (one size fits most).

Pneumatic Compression Systems - 30 Minute Session

Enjoy 30min Infrared Sauna (preheated) with your partner followed directly afterwards with a 90min float session (60min float time) in the Open Float Pool (a large private space for couples to float together without the sense of feeling confined).  If you prefer to float in individual pods in separate rooms please contact us to arrange this - an additional cost of $20 will apply.  Try to arrive 15mins earlier if you are new to floating to allow for briefing.
Bathrobes are provided to wear when you transition from Sauna to Float room.  Post sauna showers will be taken in the float room (whilst the water is filling the float pool). Your core body temperature can then cool before your float.

120 Minute Float Session for 2 people in the Marino Room which include 90 minutes in NZ's biggest float pool.  The Float pool is larger than a super king double bed and comfortably accommodates 2 people. The suite has double showers a toilet room. Luxury spa towels are provided along with Sukin Body Wash, Shampoo, Conditioner, Facial Cleanser, body lotion and deodorant. You can prepare for the world again in our vanity room equipped with Dyson hair dryers and a range of Sukin moisturizers and toners to choose from. Complete your experience with a selection of herbal teas and relax in our post float lounge.

120 Minute Double Float Session (90min float time)

Your 2.5hr session includes a 2hr (120min) float time with time for showering before and after your float, and a quick briefing if you have not floated with us before.  Available in Kina or Koru Rooms. 

150 Minute Session (2hr float)

Please allow 210 minutes for your session, which includes a 3hr (180min) float time plus time for a shower before and after your float, and a briefing if you have not floated with us before.

A 90 Minute session (1hr float time) for one person in our Marino Room - a private room with an open float pool (no lid) , providing an extra large space without compromise on acoustic and environmental control. The size of a super king size bed, it offers a float experience for the very tall or those who may feel anxious in an enclosed space.

Experience the combination of an Ice Bath followed by an Infrared Sauna with chromotherapy and the addition of Red-Light Therapy.  A very promising protocol to heal muscular injuries - particularly sport injuries.



Hot/Cold Contrast Therapy - 45 Min - Ice Bath + Sauna + Red Light Therapy

Revitalise yourself with an invigorating ice bath session in your own private suite at The Recovery Centre, for a total time of 15 minutes.  
The water temperature range of the Odin 2-person Ice Bath in either "WAIORA" or "NGA PUNA" is 9 to 11.5⁰C (averaging 10⁰ C).  We suggest two-to-three-minute plunges in the ice bath - for two or three cycles (but please keep within your session time). We recommend you warm up naturally after your plunge by using energising movement to move warmth from your core back to your limbs - and/or use the state-of-the art Valiyro body dryers installed in the room (our environmentally friendly alternative to towels) to warm and dry off your body.  

You are invited to stop off at the break-out space near reception for a complimentary warming herbal tea afterwards.  A range of the latest natural hydration drinks are also available to purchase if preferred. 


Just the Plunge - 15 Min - Ice bath @ 10⁰C 

Hot and Cold Therapy

A 45-minute session in the infrared Sauna in conjunction with our HALOONE® Halotherapy unit, which emits a micronized salt vapor inhaled to promote an overall healthy respiratory system reduces excessive mucus caused by allergens and has an antibacterial effect in the lungs.   An effective, natural and safe way to improve your quality of sleep, reduce inflammation and fight pathogens. Sauna temperature is capped at 60 degrees during this session.

Oxygen is a vital source of energy.  Increase your Oxygen intake with our Oxygen Bar, as you inhale purified oxygen for the 15min service period via a special headset (sanitised after every use).
