The Avalon Rooms are the brain child of Flik Denham. Flik, one of the UK’s foremost award winning cosmetic and medical tattoo artists and body piercers, decided to open the Avalon Rooms in late 2019 after having sold her previous studio of 11 years. It was time to bring people something different, a place where the practical and the divine could meet on equal terms, a studio that would not just fulfil a need in the local community but nurture that community, a place to find quality in all its forms.

Great as always. I was getting my helix downsized today and Meg noticed that the rest of my jewellery was gold, so went and found me a gold stud/gem to match, which was a lovely touch.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils from plants and flowers. Using a blend of oils that will be chosen depending on what you are looking to treat mixed with a carrier oil and applied onto the skin by massage. It is used to treat the mind and body and has become a very popular and relaxing treatment in the last few years. This is a hands on treatment and does involve touching the skin so clients will be required to remove clothing but will be covered to maintain dignity. Clients that aren’t able to have massages for medical reasons are still able to benefit from personal blends mixed specifically for them that they can use in the bath or in a lotion that can be applied at home. You can also benefit from aromatherapy by just inhaling a blend that has been specifically made for you. This can be used as a 1 off treatment or as part of a treatment plan. This treatment requires a consultation before each treatment.

Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points on the feet or hands.  These reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems.  Applying pressure to them creates real benefits for your health.

Reiki is a complimentary therapy using the universal energy, it originated in Japan. It’s pronounce Ray key and translates to universal life energy. Reiki is good for physical and emotional issues. Energy flows through us all and when the energy becomes blocked or disrupted it can lead to illness and or stress. Reiki works with the mind, body and spirit and although it’s considered to be spiritual it’s not religious. It was founded in the early 20th century by Dr Mikao Usui. It’s a hands on treatment that can be done while you are fully clothed. The treatment balances the energy. It’s safe to be used by everyone including children and pregnant women. Reiki can be used as a 1 off treatment but often it is used as part of a treatment plan. This treatment requires a consultation before each treatment.

Reiki

Chakra balance can even up the energy flow as it removes blockages. Sometimes if the blockages are severe you may need more than 1 treatment. I use Reiki alongside this treatment to get the best result possible. This requires a consultation before each treatment and can be used in conjunction with other therapies.
