Dutch and French cornrows are both styles of braiding hair close to the scalp, but they differ in how the braid sits on the head:

Dutch Cornrows: Also known as "reverse French braids" or "underhand braids." The braid is created by crossing the strands under each other, making the braid stand out or pop off the scalp. It looks raised.
French Cornrows: Made by crossing the strands over each other, causing the braid to blend in with the scalp more. It's flatter and more subtle than Dutch cornrows.
Both styles involve sectioning the hair and braiding tightly along the scalp. Both look beautiful!
