Some tips to make the experience that little bit more bearable:  

🔸 Make the appointment for later in the day (or early in the day if you work nights) as your skin will have had time to acclimatise to sensitivity throughout the day

🔸 Reduce the amount of caffeine prior to an appointment as it dilates the blood vessels which effects circulation,  therefore making the skin more sensitive

🔸Cut out or reduce the use of salt you have in the day prior to the appointment. Or if that’s not possible take an antacid like tums or Gaviscon (if safe for you to do so) about half an hour before your appointment. This will reduce acidity and therefore make your skin less sensitive  

🔸 Take a paracetamol half an hour before the appointment- only if this is safe for you to do

🔸 Exfoliate and moisture the areas to be waxed on a regular basis. This will help soften the hairs which makes them easier to pull out, but don’t exfoliate for about 48 hours before the appointment!

The one that I think most people are worried about:


❎ No I don’t think that lump/bump/scar/shape/size/colour is weird or strange. We are all unique and different and to be honest I’m completely focussed on making sure I’m doing a decent service rather than critiquing body parts 😆

And the final myth busted…

It maybe feels a little scary please let me dispel some  myths: 

❎ No you are not too large to get waxed. As a plus sized beauty myself I know that some waxing positions are more practical than others to accommodate our voluptuousness, so that’s what we will do 

❎ No you are not too hairy to get waxed. If I had a £ for every person that has said they must be the hairiest person I’ve waxed.! Honestly your not. Until the day Ms. Bigfoot books in for her appointment that will never be the case. If the hairs are on the longer side then I may decide to undertake a trim in order to make the experience easier for you, but let me worry about that. 

❎ No your not too old! I plan to keep waxing until I can literally no longer get on that couch! 

 No I don’t experience any ‘weird’ smells. Keep up a good level of hygiene in your daily routine and utilise the intimate wipes I provide before an intimate wax it’s all dandy. Hand on heart Ive never had a bad experience in that department

In this busy world we sometimes need a bit of time and space to gather our thoughts. Use your appointment time to do just that.  Following your initial consultation you can relax in the knowledge that I’ll be focusing on leaving you silky smooth and you only need to focus on you and doing what you need to do to re-centre. Feel free to close your eyes and enjoy the much needed peace and quiet. Or use the time to zone out playing a game on your phone, listening to music or get around to finally clearing the hundreds of unread emails from your inbox. During the appointment the only time I will need to interrupt  your zen will be directly related to your waxing service eg. Asking you to change body positions
